Trial and license

Hedgerow is free to try for 30 days. A license costs $14.99, once, and covers every PC you own or control and every Hedgerow 1 update.

During the trial

Everything works. The Home page shows the days left, and Hedgerow reminds you three days before the end.

When the trial ends

Your zones keep working: they show, open your files and take new desktop items by their rules. You can still move and resize zones, move items between zones and restore a snapshot.

Making, deleting and arranging zones, editing rules or appearance, and saving snapshots need a license. Hedgerow asks when you try one.

Buying and entering your key

Choose Buy Hedgerow and pay in your browser, on this PC or another device. Hedgerow licenses itself when the payment completes. The key also arrives by email, even if you choose Cancel.

Have a key? Open Settings, paste it under License and choose Activate.

The daily license check

While licensed, Hedgerow checks the key once a day with licenses.cairnea.com. It sends only the key's random ID, a one-time random number and the Hedgerow version, never the key, your name or your email. A trial sends nothing, unless you buy or recover a key in Hedgerow: then it sends a one-time purchase code, or the email and code you typed.

Settings shows when the license was last checked; Check now checks at once.

If the key was refunded or revoked, or cannot be checked for 14 days, the license pauses. Your zones keep working, as after the trial, and the next successful check resumes the license.

Lost your key

In Settings, choose Lost your key?, enter the email you bought with and choose Send code. Type the emailed 6-digit code and choose Get my key. The code expires in 15 minutes.

For another PC, choose Copy key in Settings and paste it into Hedgerow there.

Refunds

Email support@cairnea.com within 30 days of buying for a full refund. A refunded key stops working within a day.
