Hedgerow End User License Agreement
Cairnea LLC ("Cairnea"), Ohio, USA. Effective 2026-10-14.
1. Trial.
You may use Hedgerow free for 30 days. After that, Hedgerow keeps showing and using your zones, but creating and changing them needs a license.
2. License.
A purchased license lets one person use Hedgerow 1.x, for their own use, on any number of computers they own or control, including every 1.x update. It is not transferable. A later major version may be offered as a separate purchase.
3. Purchase.
Licenses are sold by Cairnea's payment provider, which acts as merchant of record on Cairnea's behalf: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and issues the receipt. Its terms of sale, shown at checkout, apply to the payment. Cairnea LLC provides the software and the license.
4. Refunds.
Email support@cairnea.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. A refunded license key is revoked and stops working within a day.
5. Restrictions.
You may not share your license key, resell it, or remove or work around the license check.
6. License check and privacy.
While licensed, Hedgerow checks your license once a day with licenses.cairnea.com. It sends only the license key's random ID, a one-time random number and the Hedgerow version, never your name, email, files or desktop. This check is a condition of the license: if your key is refunded or revoked, or Hedgerow cannot check it for 14 days, the license pauses until a check succeeds, and your existing zones keep working. During the trial nothing is sent unless you buy or recover a key from within Hedgerow; then it sends a one-time purchase code, or the email address and code you enter, to licenses.cairnea.com. 7. No warranty.
Hedgerow is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Hedgerow never deletes your files, but you are responsible for your own backups.
8. Limitation of liability.
To the extent the law allows, Cairnea's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
9. Law.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA.
