Getting started
Hedgerow keeps your desktop calm. Your icons live in zones: shaded areas on the desktop that you can name, move and sort.
Where your icons went
When Hedgerow first started, it put all your desktop icons in the Desktop zone. Nothing was moved on disk or deleted. When you choose Exit from the tray menu, your desktop goes back to how Windows shows it.
Make your first zones
- Choose New zone on the Zones page, or right-click the Hedgerow tray icon and choose New zone, or right-click the desktop and choose Hedgerow, then New zone here.
- Drag icons into a zone. They stay there until you move them.
- Or let Suggest zones propose a first set for you.
Three keys to remember
- Ctrl+Alt+D hides or shows all zones.
- Ctrl+Alt+Z moves the keyboard to your zones.
- Ctrl+Alt+H opens the Hedgerow window.
